Nurseries are paid by the council for childcare cost but additionally to this there are many costs. 

 

We entitle these disbursements and these may be consumables or any other additional costs incurred by the nursery in the provision of childcare that does not include the literal childcare staff wage to ratio and the building itself where the childcare is provided.

 

Consumables, some examples

•  Diapers and wipes

•  Spare pants and clothes

•  Sunscreen and insect repellent

• First aid supplies, including band-aids and antiseptics, thermometers, used for outings and walks

Food and Snack Ingredients:

• Healthy snacks (fruits, vegetables, crackers)

​

Cooking Activities:

• All cooking items and cooking equipment and training for such activities

• Ingredients - Baking ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder) for cooking activities

Additional optional, outings and celebration activities:

All costs related

• Individual trips, days outs, outings and events

• Buses, walkadiles, hand straps, coats, gloves, hats, umbrellas, taxis, petrol expenses
